A menagerie of thought-detritus orbiting the production of my dissertation but also cometing out into my various other interests — contemporary digital art, electronic writing, the history & theory of technology and media. The dissertation concerns video games & time & modernity & modernity’s post & significantly, the representation and/or rendering of flowing clouds by distinct historical media. Inside this eclectic fold settles a bit of Media Archaeology, the study of code and programmable media, questions about mediated subjectivity, about gaming culture & gender gaming, and an assortment of other minor subplots.
