I received my PhD from the Department of Modern Culture and Media at Brown University in 2010. My dissertation was entitled Interpreting Video Games through the Lens of Modernity. Within the dissertation I use particular video games to investigate problems associated with the rise of modernity and its current transformation into postmodernity or second modernity. You can read more about my dissertation here. Feel free to email me if you would like a copy.
I am currently an ACLS/Mellon Recent Doctoral Recipient Fellow, and I will begin teaching as an Assistant Professor at Miami University, Ohio, in the Fall of 2011.
